Advancing Pulmonary Vascular Disease Care Through Research
Bringing specialized expertise and innovative research to complex pulmonary vascular disease
Pulmonary vascular disease is a rapidly evolving field, with emerging therapies, new diagnostic approaches and ongoing research reshaping how patients with pulmonary hypertension are evaluated and treated.
At the Temple Lung Center, pulmonary vascular disease expertise is paired with an active clinical research program focused on advancing care for patients with complex disease. Through participation in clinical studies and collaboration with investigators and research partners, the program provides opportunities to evaluate emerging approaches across pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD).
Active Research in Pulmonary Vascular Disease
Current research opportunities include studies evaluating emerging therapeutic approaches as well as novel approaches to identifying pulmonary hypertension and PAH.
Research areas include:
- Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH)
Clinical research involving patients with established WHO Group 1 PAH, including patients receiving existing PAH-directed therapies. - PH Associated With Interstitial Lung Disease (PH-ILD)
Studies evaluating patients with WHO Group 3 ILD-PH and defined pulmonary function, imaging and hemodynamic characteristics. - Emerging Therapies
Clinical studies evaluating new approaches to the treatment of pulmonary vascular disease, including therapies involving established and emerging treatment pathways. - Innovative Diagnostics and Technology
Research exploring novel approaches to identifying pulmonary hypertension and PAH, including the use of artificial intelligence.
